Field Museum
“Diamonds & Gems”
The Field Museum of Chicago was highlighting two gems shows simultaneously. One was a jewelry exhibit and the other featured the actual minerals and stones that are mined for gems. So the advertising had to incorporate both.
The jewelry exhibit had the "What would it be like to wear that crown" feeling to it, while the mineral and stone part of the show featured the meaning of the stones and the powers that they yield.
Mirrored street cases with a crown printed on them, let pedestrians look in the mirror and see a crown on their head.
Other interactive programs let users put crowns on their own photos.
